A therapy that treats many different types of the body systems. It can increase circulation, reduce nervous system firing and muscle tension. It also helps with post operative surgeries to reduce scar tissue and increase joint mobility.
Various techniques like kinesiology, trigger point therapy, myofascial cupping, stretching and joint play may be applied during a deep tissue massage. The therapist uses deeper strokes to address the fascia (connective tissue surrounding the muscles), and deeper structures. This allows the therapist to get to the real issue causing the problem, so you can feel your best.

There is 4 layers of fascia in the body. From superficial (just under the skin), to deeper structures around the bones, and organs. Some of these fascial lines, run from head to toe.

Hyper tense muscles are dehydrated and have reduced mobility. At that point, they can start to form trigger points which further reduce range of motion.
Myofascial cupping uses negative pressure to be sucked up into a cup placed on the skin by the therapist. The cups are then applied in a gliding movement over these fascial lines and restricted areas of tension.
This increases circulation, blood flow and oxygen throughout the fascia and musculoskeletal system. Which in turn helps to relax the muscle tissue.

It is normal to have excessive thirst after a cupping treatment, remember to drink plenty of water after your treatment!
